Welcome

Welcome to sharedintentions.net, your portal for shared intentions and game theory. We seek to build a suite of methods, tools and results so as to better understand the origins and implications of jointly intentional behaviour, collective agency and collaboration.

At their most basic level, the existence of shared intentions gives an object on which optimization can operate, so that pairs or groups of individuals will, from time to time, behave as if they are a single optimizing agent.

Collective

In game theory, shared intentions can be simply accommodated by joint strategic switching, such that optimising behaviour takes place over a vector of actions, rather than just a single action, as in individual analysis.
